IMPORTANT CHANGE
Amended Substitute House Bill 153 of the 129th General Assembly repealed the Ohio Estate Tax for the estates of individuals dying on or after January 1, 2013. This legislation provides a timeline for ending Ohio's estate tax, with estates with a date of death on or after January 1, 2013 not being subject to the estate tax. Amended Substitute House Bill 153 of the 129th General Assembly provided for closure of the former Ohio Inheritance Tax.
